Dear Club Representative
As you will be aware the Government today in partnership with Local Authorities have announced a local lockdown in parts of West Yorkshire which includes Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees Hockey clubs, I wanted to make ALL Yorkshire Hockey League Clubs aware of the situation.
All information regarding today’s announcement around local lockdowns can be found on the link below:
From Tuesday 22nd September, the main regulation change in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees is the following:
- Residents must not socialise with other people outside of their own households or support bubble in private homes and gardens
This change is in addition to the ‘rule of 6’ which was introduced nationwide on Monday, limiting the number of people who can gather indoors or outdoors to 6. This rule is in place across the country and will sit alongside additional restrictions in the local areas mentioned above.
What does this mean for hockey?
- All Hockey activity at stage 5 Can continue in line with NGB guidelines http://www.englandhockey.co.uk/page.asp?section=2633§ionTitle=Covid%2D19+Club+Support
- All players should adhere to the Government and local lockdown guidance either side of hockey activity.
We will continue to issue further guidance as and when it becomes available but please feel free to get in touch if you have any further immediate questions.
