Club/Organisation: Sheffield University Bankers Hockey Club (SUBHC). .
SUBHC, one of the biggest Club's in Yorkshire, wish to appoint a Men's 1's & 2's coach, for the season 2014/15. The successful candidate may also be required to coach the University of Sheffield elite men's squads.
SUBHC wish to appoint a Ladies 1's & 2's coach for the season 2014/15. The successful candidate may also be required to coach the University of Sheffield elite ladies squad.
We are seeking enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated coaches who can drive the club and the players forward.
Job Role(s)
Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:-
1. Run the ladies or men’s coaching : 1.5 hours a week on Thursday evening
2. To coach the University Elite side: 1.5 hours a week on Monday Evening
3. To plan, organise and take these coaching sessions on each occasion.
4. Attend 1st XI home and away fixtures on a Saturday, to act as coach and match day manager.
5. To develop a season-long plan for the 1st team working in conjunction with the Elite squad management team.
6. Having direct input into the weekly selection process for the applicable 1st team and provide advice on the selection of the 2nd team.
Remuneration
SUBHC are flexible and willing to discuss whether a salary or hourly fee for hours coached and games attended would work best for the prospective coach. We will also be putting in place a performance related pay system, to reward coaches who manage to achieve promotion.
Requirements
An English Hockey (or equivalent) Level II qualification would be preferred. The successful candidates must possess good communication skills and be prepared to work with the Club’s Elite management team and assistant coaches. The position is offered on a season by season basis and will be reviewed annually.
