Yorkshire League Fixtures Postponed Due To Frozen Pitches
Saturday 13 December 2014 - Postponed Fixtures
It looks probable that the number of games postponed today due to frozen pitches will reach the 75% target that triggers en masse transfer of all postponed fixtures from 13 December 2014 to the slip date on 21 February 2015.
Should this happen Club Fixture Secretaries do not need to do anything, the Website Team will move the fixtures.
Once fixtures have been moved to 21 February you may need to amend start time and/or venue information on the Website if your new pitch booking changes the start time and/or venue information.
Should this happen any fixtures already transferred to 21 February 2015 will have to be rearranged for any Sunday up to and including 22 February 2015.
MEN’S Division 6 N&S: Teams in these two divisions already have scheduled fixtures on 21 February 2015 (due to the recent re-jigging of the Divisions following team withdrawals). Therefore any postponements from 6 & 13 December will need to be rearranged by Clubs for any Sunday up to and including 22 February 2015
Clubs have previously been warned that en masse movement of fixtures would happen should postponements for any single Saturday reach the 75% mark.
Saturday 6 December 2014 - Postponed Fixtures
Clubs are reminded that fixtures postponed from 6 December 2014 must be rearranged within seven days of postponement – that’s today.
The normal slip dates would mean playing on either Sunday 14 or Sunday 21 December (or Saturday 20 December).
If this is not practical for teams then you may arrange to play after Christmas but our preference is for you to play before Christmas if you can.
Dispensation has been given for you to rearrange fixtures from Saturday 6 December for any Sunday in January (or Saturday if your opponents and yourselves do not have a fixture).
Should the number of games postponed on Saturday 13 December 2014 due to frozen pitches reach 75%, those fixtures will be moved en masse to 21 February 2015. You will NOT be able to move postponed games from 6 December to 21 Feburary, but must rerarrange them as above.
REMEMBER Games must be rearranged within the required seven days after postponement and fines can be imposed on defaulting clubs should this not happen.
IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS REARRANGING FIXTURES OR NEED TO USE A DATE AFTER THE END OF JANUARY CONTACT YOUR DIVISION REPRESENTATIVE.
Club Fixture Secretaries Please Note: When rearranging postponed fixtures you need to cancel the postponement (click on the tick in the POSTPONED box to remove it), then SAVE, before amending fixture information (date, time, venue). Once amended you will need to SAVE again.
