'YHA Fixture Changes' Email Deluge
If you have received large numbers of emails yesterday and today, 17 and 18 October, from 'YHA Web Manager' with the subject of 'YHA Fixture Changes' please ignore them.
When a fixture is amended in any way (time change, venue change, date change, etc.) the YHA Website has the facility to automatically send confirmation emails to both clubs involved in a fixture plus to the relevant Division Representative or Competition Organizer.
This autoemail system has not been fully working for a few years with emails being manually sent on to clubs and div reps by myself.
We have recently fixed the system so that it is once again fully automated, but it would appear that we still have some work to do.
We think that when we turned the system on again yesterday it has sent copies of all changes to fixtures from the start of the season to every club, not just to those clubs involved in a particular fixture.
We will turn the autoemail system off as soon as possible and find a solution.
Once again apologies if we have filled your inbox with large numbers of emails.
Until the system if fixed we will carry on sending out fixture amendment emails manually.
